Graduated from Colorado State University in 1981. I worked as a mobile equine veterinarian in Tucson Az for 20 years. I paired up with an old family friend, Butch Fancher, and moved to Texas in 2000. We married, and together built The Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic and Rehabilitation Center in San Marcos, TX.

I worked there for another 20 years. We specialized in reproduction and osteopathy. Along the way, I was searching for more ways to help the horses I was treating. I became certified in Veterinary Homeopathy, Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Chiropractic, Ozone Therapy, B.E.S.T. chiropractic methods, Equine Touch therapy, and Osteopathy. In 2017 we moved to Garwood Texas and built a smaller veterinary clinic, specializing in Equine and Canine Osteopathy. Our treatments for horses and dogs using complementary medicine have been extremely successful and rewarding. Osteopathy has been an amazing tool in our toolbox to help horses and dogs who have been unable to improve with allopathic treatments. In 2024, we added a veterinarian from Belgium to our staff. Shana Pinxten is now working with me at the clinic in Garwood. She has the same outlook on medicine as I do, and together we hope to publish research on alternative therapies to help horses perform at their best.

Shana does osteopathy on both dogs and horses. She is also working with ozone to treat wounds, bone spurs, and many other problems. You can read more about us and our clinic on our webpage, www.thewholehorse.com, or on our facebook page, The Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic and Central Texas Equine.
