His method combines advanced acupuncture, brain-based chiropractic and osteopathic assessment, autonomic nervous system evaluation, bioenergetic frequency analysis, therapeutic laser therapy, PEMF therapy, neuro-emotional techniques, and other individualized therapies designed to help restore optimal function. His philosophy is that lasting healing occurs by identifying and correcting the underlying causes of dysfunction rather than simply managing symptoms.
Dr. Patterson has earned recognition as both a clinician and educator. He has served on the Executive Committee and as President of the House of Delegates for the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS), participated on multiple committees for the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA), instructed IVAS basic acupuncture training courses, and lectured nationally and internationally for IVAS, AAVA, and AHVMA.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Patterson is committed to service and mentorship. He has served as President of the Maui Youth Ranch Board, supporting equine-assisted therapy and educational opportunities for youth in Hawaii through Eagala-based programs. His work reflects a belief that the healing relationship between humans and animals can transform both physical health and emotional well-being.
Today, Dr. Patterson continues to work with equine and companion animal patients, helping them recover from pain, injury, neurological dysfunction, and performance limitations. His practice emphasizes individualized care, advanced diagnostics, and an integrative approach that combines the best of modern veterinary medicine with proven complementary therapies to help animals achieve lasting health, comfort, and peak performance.
